It's been a pleasure to see Dan's committment to this process and to hear the artists talk about their "process" in the development of their pieces. But nothing really prepares one for the quality of the work. They are all beautiful pieces of art. Mary Jane Wood

Many thanks to Dan Smith for the chance to explore a new art form, especially in relation to square dancing. In the past I’ve worked with pencil, inks, charcoal and paint, but never stained glass. It’s an interesting and challenging media, but Dan's help and instruction made it do-able. I’m surprised my first effort turned out as well as it did. I’m very pleased with it. What impresses me is that Dan was able to elicit such beautiful concepts from students new to this art form. What touches me most are the emotional and sometimes very personal stories attached to the windows. What unites all the pieces of this project is a love of square dancing. I'm so happy to be a part of this community! Steve Scott

What a wonderful display of the affection for gay square dancing! I am impressed with the quality of the art, and proud to have had it on display the Cove, Twin Peaks, and my salon, Sorrento Sun Center. I was much obliged to speak with questioning admirers about Ron's fantastic window panel, but was quite saddened when Dan came to remove it from our window display. Hopefully, another piece of s...(trimmed) Josh Lacayo

The personal stories add a whole other dimension to the beauty of the art, making it even more striking to the heart and soul. Thanks to all the artists and Dan for sharing this wonderful project with us. I would love to see more of same in the future. Kevin Larson
